H.E. the Director General of the Arab ICT Organization Receives H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Tunisia

H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization, received H.E. Mr. Rami Farouk Qaddoumi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tunisia, on Thursday, 13 March 2026, at the Organization’s headquarters in La Marsa. The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of information and communication technologies and digital transformation.

AICTO Delegation Participates in the Ministerial Programme 2026 at MWC Barcelona and Holds a Series of High-Level Meetings

“Tunis” Arab Digital Capital 2026

Tunis has been designated as the Arab Digital Capital for the year 2026, pursuant to Resolution No. [822 – Regular Session 29] issued by the Council of Arab Ministers of Telecommunications and Information on 22 January 2026, during its session held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. The Council officially announced “Tunis as the Arab Digital Capital for 2026.”

AICTO and HealthCare Innovation (HCI) Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Digital Health and Health AI Across the Arab Region

As part of strengthening regional cooperation in digital health and artificial intelligence, and with the aim of unifying efforts to support digital health ecosystems and health AI in Arab countries, the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO)—represented by its Director General, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor—and HealthCare Innovation (HCI) in Monastir—represented by its Director General, Dr. Mohamed Haroun Wanes—signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 16, 2026, in Tunis.

Adoption of the “Ministerial Outcome Declaration: WSIS+20 Outcomes and Future Directions Towards the “Intelligence Society” at the “AI Forward Summit 2025”

The “AI Forward Summit 2025” concluded with the adoption of the “Ministerial Outcome Declaration” on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20). The declaration reaffirms the international community’s commitment to harnessing information and communication technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, in support of sustainable development and the promotion of global digital equity.
