Cairo – The fifth edition of the International Exhibition and Conference on Information Security and Cybersecurity CAISEC’26 concluded on June 9, 2026. The event was organized by the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) and Mercury Communications, on June 8-9, 2026, at the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski – Cairo, under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister.

Held under the theme “Guarding the Future: Securing the Unpredictable” this edition brought together a wide range of officials, experts, and cybersecurity professionals from the Arab region, Africa, and other parts of the world. The conference served as a strategic platform for dialogue on the future of digital security, the challenges arising from accelerated digital transformation, and ways to strengthen cyber resilience.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), emphasized that CAISEC 2026 continues to consolidate its position as a regional and international platform for dialogue on cybersecurity and digital transformation, at a time when the world is witnessing profound technological shifts reshaping concepts of development, security, and digital sovereignty.

H.E. the Director General highlighted that digital transformation is no longer merely a technological process, but rather a comprehensive redesign of the global digital landscape, where data, algorithms, and digital infrastructures have become key elements in the equation of power, stability, and development. He stressed that cybersecurity represents a strategic pillar for ensuring digital trust and sustaining digital transformation.

He also underlined the importance of this edition, which is being held within the framework of strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening Arab-African integration, particularly through cooperation with specialized international initiatives and organizations, contributing to unified efforts to address cybersecurity challenges and build a safer and more resilient digital environment.

H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor stressed that the future of the digital world relies on two closely interconnected pillars: artificial intelligence as a driver of economic and technological transformation, and cybersecurity as an essential foundation for digital trust and stability. He emphasized the need to build a secure-by-design, responsible, and collaboratively governed digital transformation framework.

In this context, he highlighted AICTO’s strategic priorities, which include investing in digital talent, strengthening regional and international partnerships, and developing proactive digital governance frameworks capable of keeping pace with the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

He reaffirmed the Organization’s commitment to supporting Arab-African cooperation and enhancing international collaboration to build a more coordinated and resilient digital space capable of addressing growing cyber threats. He also stressed that CAISEC represents more than a technical event; it is a platform contributing to shaping the future of digital security and transforming challenges into opportunities for growth, innovation, and stability.

The conference featured in-depth discussions on key cybersecurity issues, including emerging threats, the impact of technological and geopolitical developments on the digital landscape, and the role of innovation and international cooperation in strengthening cybersecurity capabilities.

Participants also showcased the latest security solutions and technologies while exchanging expertise and successful experiences in protecting information and digital infrastructures, contributing to the advancement of secure and sustainable digital transformation in the region.
