
As part of its efforts to strengthen joint Arab cooperation, the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding on May 8, 2025, at the ACSAD Center in Damascus, Syria. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of AICTO, His Excellency Dr. Feras Bakour, President of the Arab Telecommunications and Internet Union, and His Excellency Dr. Nasr Eddin Obaid, Director General of ACSAD.
This strategic partnership aims to support the development of the Arab agricultural sector through the integration of information and communication technologies to modernize infrastructure and enrich knowledge resources. It also seeks to advance national and regional policies related to innovation and entrepreneurship, while encouraging investment in emerging technologies. The agreement promotes the adoption of e-government and smart services in agriculture and leverages applied research to deliver practical, impactful solutions.
Key areas of collaboration include organizing joint events, implementing projects in partnership with the private sector, and launching training and capacity-building programs for Arab technical and agricultural professionals.
