
On the sidelines of the Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) Annual Meeting 2025, held in Riyadh on 1–2 October, His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), met with Her Excellency Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
During the meeting, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor conveyed his sincere thanks and appreciation to H.E. Ms. Bogdan-Martin for kindly accepting the invitation to participate in the AI-Forward Summit 2025, which will be hosted in Tunis from 30 November to 3 December 2025.
It is worthy to mention that the AI-Forward Summit 2025 will be held under the High Patronage and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies, and the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information at UNESCO. The event is organized in partnership with several international and regional organizations, including ITU, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the World Internet Conference (WIC), SMART Africa, GSMA, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and ESCWA, among others.
Discussions during the meeting also focused on ways to further strengthen cooperation between AICTO and ITU, particularly in advancing joint initiatives, fostering knowledge exchange, and supporting artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and cybersecurity efforts across the Arab region and beyond
