As part of the ongoing preparations for the “AI-Forward Summit,” to be held under the theme “From the Information Society to the Intelligence Society,” marking twenty years since Tunisia hosted the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), the Minister of Communication Technologies HE. Mr. Sofiene Hemissi received, on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO).

On the sidelines of the Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) Annual Meeting 2025, held in Riyadh on 1–2 October, His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), met with Her Excellency Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), participated in the Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) Annual Meeting 2025, held in Riyadh on 1–2 October.

Within the framework of Arab–Chinese cooperation to enhance partnerships and exchange expertise, the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) and the Chinese authority responsible for the BeiDou satellite navigation system co-organized the 5th Arab–Chinese Forum on Satellite Navigation (BeiDou) on 24–25 September 2025 in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, under the auspices of the League of Arab States and the Arab–Chinese Forum.

The First Regional High-Level Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability was convened on 16 September 2025 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, under the theme “From Innovation to Impact.” The event was jointly organized by the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation), within the framework of the follow-up and implementation of the Roadmap towards “Sustainable Digital Transformation 2025–2030” and the Organization’s Strategic Vision 2030, “Building a Smart, Secure, and Sustainable Arab Digital Future.”

H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director-General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), paid a visit on Monday, September 1, 2025, to His Excellency Mr. Zayed bin Saeed Rashid Al-Kumait Al-Khiarin, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Tunisia.

The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), led by its Director General H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, took part in the First Annual Arab Forum on Artificial Intelligence, held on 27–28 August 2025 in New Alamein City, Arab Republic of Egypt, under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The forum was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation), will organize the first session of the Regional High-Level Roundtable on “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability: From Innovation to Impact”, to be held on 15–16 September 2025 in Cairo.

The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) participated in the Huawei Cloud Summit – North Africa 2025, held in Cairo on 29 July 2025.
