H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director-General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), delivered a keynote address at the Global Youth Innovation Salon in Chengdu, China, focusing on “The Digital Silk Road and the Arab Digital Market.” He presented a strategic vision for strengthening integration among the Arab world’s 22 national markets and building a more connected and competitive regional digital ecosystem.

Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), participated in the Second Global Digital Forum, organized by the Centre for Economic Cooperation and Investment Development (CECID) in the Russian Federation from 8 to 10 October 2026. The forum brought together prominent leaders, experts and decision-makers in the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT) and digital transformation.
AICTO Participates in “TeleHealth Connect – Tunisia 2026”
A delegation from the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), led by H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of AICTO, is participating in “TeleHealth Connect – Tunisia 2026,” at the kind invitation of H.E. Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, Minister of Health. The international event is being held from 29 September to 1 October 2026, under the High Patronage of H.E. the President of the Republic of Tunisia.

A high-level delegation from the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), led by its Director-General, HE. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, participated in the Regional Workshop on Responsible AI Governance in the Arab States, held in Manama on September 16–17, 2026. The workshop was jointly organized by the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), the National Institution for Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain (NIHR), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with AICTO and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
AI-Forward Summit 2026, Yasmine Hammamet, Republic of Tunisia – 7–10 September 2026
The second edition of the AI-Forward Summit 2026 concluded today, September 10, 2026, in Yasmine Hammamet, Republic of Tunisia, following two days of high-level strategic deliberations preceded by two days of specialized parallel workshops held from September 7 to 8. Convened under the theme “Shaping the Intelligence Future: From Vision to Value,” the summit was organized by the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) in close collaboration with Tunisia’s Ministry of Communication Technologies, and took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The gathering brought together more than 450 leaders, policymakers, international experts, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the Arab region, Africa, and around the world, establishing an executive platform dedicated to moving past high-level roadmaps and accelerating the execution of measurable, high-impact artificial intelligence initiatives.

Mr. Kaïs Saïed, President of the Republic of Tunisia.
President of Libya’s General Authority for Communications and Informatics Receives Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization
H.E. Eng. Abdulbasit Salim Al-Baour, President of Libya’s General Authority for Communications and Informatics, received on Tuesday, 12 August 2026, H.E. Eng. The National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) of the Republic of the Congo Joins the Arab-African E-Certification and Digital Trust Services Network (AAECA-Net)
On 26 June 2026, at the headquarters of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) in Tunis, the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) of the Republic of the Congo signed the Charter of Accession to the AAECA-Net (Arab-African E-Certification / E-Trust Network), AICTO’s flagship initiative dedicated to strengthening digital trust between the Arab and African regions.
