Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), received on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at the Organization’s headquarters in La Marsa, H.E. Mr. Giuseppe Perrone, Ambassador of the European Union to Tunisia.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and partnership between AICTO and the European Union, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, the digital economy, and digital trust services. The Director General reaffirmed AICTO’s commitment to expanding cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the Arab region and supports efforts to accelerate the transition toward a competitive and secure digital economy.
For his part, Ambassador Giuseppe Perrone expressed his keen interest in further enhancing cooperation with AICTO, commending its pivotal role in advancing digital transformation and fostering technological innovation in the Arab world. He also reaffirmed the European Union’s readiness to maintain close coordination and exchange expertise in pursuit of the shared objectives of both parties.
