H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization, received H.E. Mr. Rami Farouk Qaddoumi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tunisia, on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at the Organization’s headquarters in La Marsa. The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of information and communication technologies and digital transformation.
During the meeting, H.E. the Director General reviewed AICTO’s activities and programmes aimed at developing the ICT sector in the Arab region, as well as the training and capacity-building initiatives implemented in cooperation with its partners.
For his part, H.E. the Ambassador presented the vision of the State of Palestine for comprehensive smart transformation, reflecting its commitment to contributing to the development of digital transformation systems in the Arab world. He also highlighted the violations affecting Palestinian digital rights, the restrictions imposed on the telecommunications and technology sector, and the resulting economic losses.
It is worth noting that the State of Palestine, represented by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy, chairs the Executive Council of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization during its current session (2025–2026), reflecting its active role in supporting joint Arab action in the ICT sector.
