On 26 June 2026, at the headquarters of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) in Tunis, the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) of the Republic of the Congo signed the Charter of Accession to the AAECA-Net (Arab-African E-Certification / E-Trust Network), AICTO’s flagship initiative dedicated to strengthening digital trust between the Arab and African regions.
The signing took place at the conclusion of an immersion visit conducted from 22 to 26 June 2026, during which the Congolese delegation visited Tunisia’s leading institutions specializing in cybersecurity and digital trust services.
By joining AAECA-Net, ANSSI of the Republic of the Congo commits, alongside the other members of the network, to promoting:
Mutual recognition of electronic signatures and digital certificates;
Harmonization of the legal frameworks governing trust services;
Strengthened Arab-African cooperation in the field of e-certification.
AICTO welcomes this new accession, which further strengthens the digital bridges between the Arab and African regions and opens new avenues for cooperation towards a trusted, interoperable, and secure digital ecosystem.
