During the meetings, the Director General of AICTO presented a number of strategic initiatives undertaken by the Organization to support the Arab digital transformation journey and promote the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. Among these initiatives is the establishment of the SARAI Observatory, aimed at monitoring and tracking the development of artificial intelligence applications in Arab countries, in line with the Arab Joint Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (2023) and the Arab Ethical Charter for Artificial Intelligence (2025).
The meeting also highlighted the initiative to establish the Smart Innovation Sandbox, which aims to provide a secure and isolated testing environment for the development and experimentation of artificial intelligence application prototypes, benefiting Arab business incubators, researchers, and innovators in this field.
These initiatives are part of AICTO’s efforts to strengthen Arab cooperation and support regional initiatives aimed at building an innovative and sustainable Arab digital ecosystem, based on the responsible and secure use of modern technologies, while contributing to development and digital transformation pathways across the Arab region.
