As part of the Arab ICT Organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Arab joint action and develop partnerships in the fields of digital transformation, education, culture, and technology, a cooperation agreement was signed today, 11 May 2026, at the headquarters of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

The agreement was signed between the Arab ICT Organization, represented by His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General, and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), represented by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director General.

This agreement aims to support joint Arab efforts to build a smart, secure, and sustainable digital future, in line with the 2030 strategic vision of both parties, and to enhance the use of modern technologies in advancing education, culture, and knowledge development across Arab countries.

The agreement covers several key areas of cooperation, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence in education, cybersecurity, digital literacy, and the development of Arabic digital content. It also includes strengthening cyber education, protecting children and youth in the digital space, supporting capacity-building, implementing joint training programs and initiatives, organizing conferences and workshops, and promoting the participation of Arab women in advanced technology fields.

Furthermore, the agreement provides for the establishment of a joint coordination and monitoring mechanism to ensure the effective implementation of joint programs and projects, evaluate their outcomes, and continuously enhance their impact in line with the strategic objectives of both parties.

Both sides emphasized that this partnership represents an important step toward unifying Arab efforts in the fields of technology and knowledge, strengthening cooperation in addressing digital challenges, and contributing to sustainable development across the Arab world.
