
The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), led by its Director General H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, took part in the First Annual Arab Forum on Artificial Intelligence, held on 27–28 August 2025 in New Alamein City, Arab Republic of Egypt, under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The forum was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
In his opening address, H.E. the Director General highlighted AICTO’s pivotal role in supporting and following up on the Arab Artificial Intelligence Initiative, describing it as an ambitious regional framework that reflects the shared will of Arab countries to harness emerging technologies in the service of sustainable development and to build a secure and intelligent Arab digital future. He also presented a set of flagship programs and projects initiated by AICTO, including the Arab AI Incubator, the Applications Platform for Digital Infrastructure, and the “AI for Arab Women’s Leadership” initiative.
Concluding his remarks, H.E. Eng. Ben Amor called upon all partners to actively engage in these collective efforts and extended an official invitation to participate in the AI-Forward Summit, to be organized by AICTO and its partners in Tunis, Tunisia, from 30 November to 3 December 2025, under the theme “From Information Society to Intelligence Society.”
