On Sunday, 16 November 2025, in Tripoli, H.E. Eng. Abdelbasset Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics in the State of Libya, received H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization, as part of an official working visit to Libya.
This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening joint Arab cooperation and in preparation for participating in the AI-Forward Summit 2025. During the meeting, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor handed an official invitation to H.E. Eng. Abdelbasset Al-Baour to attend the summit at the head of the Libyan delegation. The summit is organized by the Arab ICT Organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication Technologies of the Republic of Tunisia and is scheduled to take place at the Palais des Congrès in Tunis from 30 November to 3 December 2025, under the theme:“From the Information Society to the Intelligence Society.”
Discussions between the two sides focused on the strategic objectives of the summit, which will represent a pivotal milestone toward building an integrated Arab digital future based on intelligence, innovation, and good governance.
H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor also extended a special invitation to H.E. Eng. Abdelbasset Al-Baour to participate in the High-Level Ministerial Session, scheduled for 2 December 2025 as part of the summit’s activities. This session will review two decades of efforts to leverage information and communication technologies in support of sustainable development.
