The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) is pleased to announce that the Internet Society (ISOC), in cooperation with and with the support of the Organization, is now opening the call for applications for the Middle East and Africa Internet Governance Training Program (MEAC-SIG).

The Middle East and Adjoining Countries School on Internet Governance (MEAC-SIG) 2026 will be held in parallel with the “AI Forward Summit 2026,” organized by the Arab ICT Organization in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia, from 7 to 10 September 2026.

The MEAC-SIG 2026 will offer a four-day, in-person intensive training program covering the fundamental issues of Internet governance.

The program integrates the political, legal, economic, sociocultural, and technological dimensions of Internet governance into a coherent and comprehensive curriculum, with a strong focus on regional priorities and challenges in the Middle East and adjoining countries. It also combines theoretical foundations with practical skills, including presentation techniques, participant engagement, and interactive activities.

The MEAC-SIG faculty brings together a distinguished group of experts from academia, the technical community, civil society, governments, and the private sector, all with extensive experience in Internet governance.

The Arab ICT Organization and MEAC-SIG invite academics, civil society representatives, government and public sector officials, members of the technical community, and private sector professionals to participate in this distinguished program.

Participants are kindly requested to register via the following link, noting that the registration deadline has been extended until 25 May 2026: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/019be0736b1a7e3bac8f888af91c3011
