The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), in cooperation with its partners, today held an information session at the International Diplomatic Academy of Tunis to present the upcoming “CancerZero AI & Digital Health Worldwide Summit – Tunisia 2026”, to be held from 4 to 6 December 2026 in Tunisia, under the High Patronage of H.E. Mr. Kaïs Saïed, President of the Republic of Tunisia.
The Summit will be held under the theme: “Towards a World Without Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Precision Medicine and Digital Health for Global Ethics and Equity.”
The Summit aims to establish a high-level international platform bringing together policymakers, healthcare leaders, researchers, experts, technology stakeholders and representatives of the innovation ecosystem to advance global cooperation in the fight against cancer and explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, precision medicine and digital health.
The information session provided an opportunity to present the Summit, its strategic objectives and key areas of focus, while highlighting several major initiatives and outcomes to be launched within its framework, including:
- The first global CancerZero Plan;
- The International CancerZero Foundation;
- The “Carthage Charter for Ethical Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.”
The CancerZero initiative is part of a broader strategic vision aimed at supporting global efforts to combat cancer and promoting equitable access to medical and therapeutic innovations. It also seeks to address the opportunities and challenges arising from the rapid transformation of healthcare through AI, precision medicine, health data and emerging digital technologies.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, ensuring that technological progress contributes to better health outcomes while upholding human dignity, equity, inclusiveness and universal access to healthcare.
Through this initiative, AICTO and its partners aspire to contribute to positioning the Arab and African regions, by 2030, as leading spaces for shaping shared visions and approaches to the future of cancer prevention and care, precision medicine, digital health and responsible AI in healthcare.
The CancerZero AI & Digital Health Worldwide Summit – Tunisia 2026 is expected to serve as an important international platform for strengthening multilateral cooperation, fostering strategic partnerships, promoting innovation and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise, with the ultimate objective of contributing to more equitable, inclusive and sustainable healthcare solutions and a future towards a world without cancer.
