Regional Forum on Bridging the Standardization Gap (BSG)

Within its 2014 action plan, AICTO organized jointly with ITU-TSB a Regional Forum on Bridging the Standardization Gap (BSG) on Monday 27 January 2014, at in Gammarth, in Tunisia.

This Forum aims at helping Arab countries to be part of the international ICT standards development process, build their local capacities to ensure the development of national standards, be informed about the best practices in the deployment of broadband standards, and identify some of the success stories of cloud computing implementation in the Arab region.

Besides, the last session was dedicated to a hands-on training on how to participate in effectively in ITU-T study groups meeting.

The Forum was attended by 104 participants from Tunisia, Egypt, Irak, Kuwait, Algeria, Libya, Lebanon, Comoros, Sudan, Yemen, Morocco, Mauritania, and Palestine.
