Cooperation between the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) & Millennium@EDU Sustainable Education
HE/Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Secretary-General of the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) and Mr. Mario Franco, Founder & Chairman of Millennium@EDU Sustainable Education have expressed their strong will to cooperate and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement.
In this respect, a Letter of Intent (LOI) was co-signed between HE/Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Mr. Mario Franco, and Mr. Mike Bridge, Vice-President of Millennium@EDU Sustainable Education, on Thursday 28 January at AICTO headquarters, in Tunis, in the presence of HE/Dr. Abdellatif Abid, Vice-Secretary General of the League of Arab States – Head of the center of Tunisia, and HE/ Mr. Pedro Manuel Carqueijeiro Lourtie, the Portuguese Ambassador to Tunisia.
Through this cooperation framework, both partners agreed to promote the contribution of the ICT sector in Education, lead pilot projects in the Arab region, with a special focus on the Arab least developed countries, while promoting education seminars and workshops, as well as an Annual Arab region Forum on ICT and Education with all relevant partners.
Millennium@EDU Sustainable Education is a multi-stakeholder initiative led by the private sector including some of the largest multinationals involved in education and technology that are willing to provide their contribution for the achievement of theSustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
