The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), is an Arab governmental organization working under the aegis of the League of Arab States.
AICTO creation resulted from the will of the Arab States which agreed to have its headquarters in the city of Tunis, the capital of the Republic of Tunisia, with the possibility of having branches in Arab countries.
- Decision N°214 of the Arab League Council at the level of Summit in its ordinary session(13) Amman (the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), on 27 & 28 March 2001.
- Decision of the Council of the League of Arab States at its (116) meeting on 10 September 2001, related to the approval of creating the Arab ICT Organization.
- Decision of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League on 12 September 2001 related to the approval of creating the Arab Information and Communication organization .
- Tunis Declaration issued by the meeting of the Arab Communications Ministers held in Tunis on 29 and 30 October 2001, related to the approbal of AICTO creation.
